In the midst of painting the wood for my built in desk, planned out in below post, I decided to go ahead and paint another little project I had been planning. I had some leftover chalkboard paint from a clock I made and wanted to paint something in my kitchen chalkboard. I am not crazy about chalkboard paint when it is used excessively, but I do love a little chalkboard surface here and there. I decided to paint the inside of my cupboard/pantry doors. This way, it is usually closed off and hidden but still accessible for me to write menus, grocery lists, and love notes to the hub. Although my painters tape didn't hold up to well, I really like the way it turned out. Just don't look closely at the sloppy edges.
Here is our cupboard closed and all mature looking.
And BAM, open her up and enjoy the fun chalkboard.
Now I can leave sweet little notes telling Cody what I want him to cook for dinner.
ha. ha.
That's really cute!! Great job! Do all your projects before you have kids!! I never get things done anymore!
